1. Introduction
CDLReach ("CDLReach," "we," "us," or "our") operates a commercial driver recruiting and applicant-tracking platform at app.cdlreach.tech (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information about individuals who visit our website, use our Platform, or submit a CDL driver application through a company that uses CDLReach (collectively, "you").
By using the Platform or submitting an application, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide Directly
When you complete a CDL driver application or interact with the Platform, we collect:
- Full legal name, date of birth, and Social Security Number (for background check and DOT compliance purposes)
- Contact information, including mobile phone number(s), email address, and mailing address
- CDL license number, class, endorsements, and expiration date
- Employment history (up to 3 years, as required by FMCSA regulations)
- Motor vehicle record information, including accidents and traffic violations
- Drug and alcohol testing consent
- Digital signature
b. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on the Platform
- Referring URLs and clickstream data
c. Information From Third Parties
When leads are submitted through Facebook Lead Ads or Google Ads lead forms that reference CDLReach or a company using our Platform, we receive basic contact information (name, phone number, email) from those advertising platforms, subject to the disclosure language shown on those forms at the time of submission.
3. SMS / Text Message Communications
CDLReach collects mobile phone numbers for the purpose of sending SMS communications related to your CDL driver application process. These messages may include application status updates, document requests and signing reminders, interview scheduling, onboarding instructions, and other recruitment-related communications.
Consent is required. We will only send you SMS messages if you have explicitly checked the SMS consent checkbox on the application form. The checkbox is unchecked by default and requires your active selection.
Message frequency varies depending on the activity level of your application. You may receive multiple messages per week during active review or onboarding stages.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any SMS message from CDLReach. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to that number.

4. How We Use Your Information
- Process and manage your CDL driver application on behalf of the hiring company
- Send SMS text messages and make phone calls related to your application only with your prior express written consent
- Send transactional email notifications about your application status
- Enable electronic document preparation and signing (eDocs)
- Verify employment history (Verification of Employment / VOE)
- Conduct background checks and driving record verifications as authorized by you
- Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and other applicable federal and state regulations
- Improve the Platform and troubleshoot technical issues
- Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
a. With the Hiring Company
Your application data is shared with the trucking or transportation company whose position you applied for. That company uses CDLReach to manage their recruitment process and is responsible for how they use your information in their own hiring decisions.
b. Service Providers
We use third-party service providers to help operate the Platform. These providers have access to your information only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose. Our primary providers include Twilio (SMS and voice communications), Amazon Web Services (secure document storage), and Resend (transactional email delivery).
c. Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CDLReach, our users, or others.
d. Business Transfers
If CDLReach is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your application data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations. For DOT-regulated driver qualification files, records are retained for a minimum of 3 years from the date of application as required by FMCSA regulations. 7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage for sensitive fields such as Social Security Numbers, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain session state, remember your application progress, and analyze Platform usage. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some features of the Platform may not function properly without them.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any SMS message to immediately stop receiving text communications.
- Opt out of email: Click "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email or contact us directly.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or a notice on the Platform.
